NLPA Criminal Pretrial Services Free Your Attorney To Focus On Your Defense
CRIMINAL PRETRIAL SERVICES
NLPA offers two different levels of pretrial services for both state and federal cases. We have a background in a wide range of cases whether drugs, fraud, conspiracies, etc.
I. Pretrial Information Program (PIP)
Under this subscription service NLPA can provide information from some of the greatest criminal defense minds of our time such as Johnny Cochran, Jerry Spence, F. Lee Bailey, The Office of the Federal Public Defender and the attorneys of the ACDL. You also could receive periodically copies of the current docket sheet from the courts so that you can see what is happening in your case. Upon being hired for this level of assistance, NLPA will send to you a listing of the publications available through this service. You can then select any or all of the available materials which your case manager will be happy to send you.
Please note: under this level of assistance NLPA is prohibited from providing research assistance or advice regarding your case. We cannot do so without the express authorization of your attorney, as will be explained further below. In the absence of your attorney’s authorization, subscription to NLPA’s Pretrial Information Program can provide you and your family with docket entries in your case and publications concerning developments in criminal law including but not limited to: Supreme Court cases, article and studies from the American Bar Association, National Associate of Defense Attorneys, United States Sentencing Commission, Office of the Federal Public Defender, Understanding pretrial motions, Preparing a strong defense, Checklist for pretrial release and many more. If your attorney does express willingness to work with NLPA, we can then offer our Full Pretrial Assistance service for an additional fee.
II. Full Pre-trial Research Services (FPT)
Our Full Pretrial Services involves having our staff actually come on board the defense team to work hand-in-hand with your attorney. In this capacity NLPA would assist in the preparation of pretrial motions, case defense strategy, the selection of the jury, locating expert witnesses, etc.
Our attorneys can also assist your counsel in locating and arranging for experts or investigators that may be needed should your defense need examination of evidence, expert analysis/testing, testimony, etc.
